Dnes vyšla nová verze linuxu Ubuntu, ten je nyní ve verzi 9.10.
My se proto dnes podíváme na zajímavé aplikace, které lze do Ubuntu doinstalovat.
Ubuntu je nyní ve verzi 9.10, kterou lze stáhnout z ubuntu.com a obsahuje řadu vylepšení. Aplikace se v Ubuntu a také v Debianu obvykle instalují ve formě tzv. balíčků a to buď v terminálu přikazy apt-get, apt-cache nebo aptitude a nebo zdlouhavěji ale pohodlněji klikáním v aplikaci Synaptic dostupné v Ubuntu 9.04 pod Systém→Správa→Správce balíků Synaptic. Je pochopitelně potřeba aplikaci poskytnout administrátorská práva.
Některé z níže uvedených balíčků vyžadují přidání dalších repozitářů aneb úložišť obsahujících balíčky. Seznam repozitářů ve svém Ubuntu linuxu najdete buď v souboru /etc/apt/sources.list a nebo ve výše zmíněné aplikaci Synaptic pod Nastavení→Zdroje→Software třetí strany. Můj soubor /etc/apt/sources.list v Ubuntu 9.04 vypadá následovně. Ve verzi Ubuntu 9.10 by mělo stačit změnit všechna slova jaunty na karmic, brzy sem takto upravený soubor vložím. Před úpravou si tento důležitý soubor nezapomeňte zazálohovat! Je celkem rozumné jednotlivé repozitáře přidat až když je budete kvůli některému balíčku potřebovat.

Ale nyní již k těm zajímavým aplikacím. Bohužel je jich tolik, že jsem je nestihl roztřídit či nějak pěkně okomentovat. Uvádím alespoň jejich abecedně seřazený seznam s jednořádkovými popisy získanými příkazem apt-cache a to tak, že jsem následující skript...

Pokud jste hodně odvážní a nebude vám vadit stáhnout několik GB balíčků a váš linux případně reinstalovat, můžete výše uvedený jednořádkový seznam zadat jako argumenty příkazu apt-get install. Samozřejmě po přidání repozitářů a příp. jejich klíčů, tj. výše uvedený seznam repozitářů.
A nyni už seznam těchto balíčků i se stručnými popisy, seznam je navíc seřazený podle abecedy utilitou sort:
